APPLICATION INTO FUNDED MASTERS PROGRAMMES AT THE UNIVERSITY OF DODOMA 2024-2025 :-

The University of Dodoma was formally established in March 2007 following the signing of the Charter by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania. The first academic programmes commenced in September 2007. The University has been designed on a seven campus college mode each of which is semi-autonomous. In its structure, the seven colleges are:

  • College of Business Studies and Law

The University of Dodoma (UDOM) invites suitably qualified nationals from East Africa
Community (EAC)

to apply for 3 batch of KfW-funded scholarships under IUCEA
To pursue master’s studies in an EAC partner country other than their own.

The EAC Scholarship Program is an initiative of the East African Community (EAC) and
The Federal Republic of Germany. The project started in 2018 when the East African Community General Secretariat
The Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA) entered into a memorandum.

The Understanding (MoU) with KfW (German Development Bank) is geared towards
Training students within the EAC area. This project aims to make a difference in the future
Agents who identify themselves with EAC’s integration agenda and are prepared
To share expert knowledge of economic and development oriented.

The aim of this initiative is to contribute to the training of leaders who will strengthen
Regional integration of the East African Community. This goal will be achieved in part by creating an academic
Collaboration between universities/institutions in the EAC region, through encouragement
Students to study in countries other than their own. In order to achieve these effects, the
The project offers a comprehensive package including scholarships for master’s programmes,

Opening date: August 27, 2021
Closing date: September 17, 2021 at 17:00 EAT
Thematic areas: information technology, mathematics,
Chemistry and Petroleum Geosciences.

Eligible Applicants: Young Nationals (under 35 years of age) for an EAC partner
Countries (Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan and
Uganda).

Period
Scholarship:
Two years 2

Coaching, mentoring, networking events and more leadership training activities.
The scholarship will support master’s students in 1) Mathematics, 2) Engineering, 3)
Informatics, 4) science, 5) technology, and 6) business science programs.

Students must apply to study in another EAC country (not their country of origin).
Women and people with disabilities are encouraged to apply. this program
It will include at least 30 percent of female students, which is a unique consideration
It will be awarded to applicants from Burundi and South Sudan.

Up to 63 scholarships are available in the 2021/2022 academic year.

a. The minimum qualification requirements in the program are:

1. Be a national of an EAC partner country;
2. Be under 35 years of age at the time of application.
Dr.. Possess at least an upper second class honors degree or ‘excellent’
applicable.

The scholarship covers the following:

1. A round-trip economy air ticket between the candidate’s home country and the host countries;
2. University tuition fees: to be paid directly to the university against an official invoice;
3. Salary: 380€ per month to support living expenses including housing and food

Utilities, local transportation and accommodation expenses;
1. Study and research subject allowances: €1,500 one-time allowance;
