Canara Bank (Tanzania) Limited is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Canara Bank India, a leading public sector bank of India. The bank commenced its operations in Dar Es Salaam on 09th May 2016 with paid up capital of TZS 32 Billion as against the local regulatory requirement of TZS 15 Billion. We have booked profits in the first and second years of operations in Tanzania.
We are offering all the basic banking services which include Saving Account, Current Account, Fixed Deposit Account, Recurring Deposit Account, Loans and Overdrafts for various needs, Remittances within and outside Tanzania, Locker Services, Mobile App, etc.
ABOUT SHAREHOLDER
Canara Bank was founded by Shri Ammembal Subba Rao Pai, a great visionary and philanthropist, in July 1906, at Mangalore, then a small port town in Karnataka. The Bank has gone through the various phases of its growth trajectory over hundred years of its existence.
