Meru District is one of the seven districts of the Arusha Region in Tanzania. Meru district is bounded on the north by Longido District, on the east by Kilimanjaro District, on the south by Manyara District, and on the west by Arusha Rural District and Arusha Urban District. The administrative capital of the region is the United States River.
