Heritage Insurance
Since 1998, Heritage Insurance has become the largest private insurance company in Tanzania, with profits after tax of Tsh 1.521 billion, net assets exceeding Tsh 14.2 billion, and an AA- rating from the Global Credit Rating Company for its ability to repay claims.
Historically, Heritage has focused on corporate business, non-life corporate risk insurance and has a fully qualified technical team to advise on complete risk management services.
Going forward, we intend to enter the growth markets of the retail segment with exciting new products and distribution channels.
Heritage Insurance is a subsidiary of Heritage Insurance, Kenya whose roots can be traced back to 1908. With Liberty Kenya Holdings investing in East Africa, Heritage Tanzania is also a member of Standard Bank Group, Africa’s largest financial services group. (Liberty Kenya Holdings Limited is also the holding company of Heritage and CfC Life Assurance Ltd in Kenya and a partner in the Stanbic Investment Management Services (EA) Ltd group in Kenya and Uganda.)
MAC Group Limited, is Heritage’s local partner in Tanzania with a 40% stake.
