About us
22 glorious years in the import, distribution and marketing of petroleum products across East and Central Africa – these are the credentials of OILCOM Tanzania Limited. The company was established on July 26, 1990 and since then, it has started a new chapter of success, service and excellence in the trading of petroleum and petroleum products. Headquartered in Dar es Salaam, the main port and commercial capital of Tanzania, the company has made great strides towards expanding into neighboring countries such as Malawi, Rwanda, Burundi, Zambia, Kenya and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

What do we offer?
Although oil and petroleum products are our forte, our scope of work is not limited to just these products. There is a range of services that we have successfully delivered over the past 22 years, and that is something that we are very proud of. We have established access to 80 high-tech service stations for our retail customers. Our range of services includes:

We have also offered a wide range of TBS approved automotive oils and industrial lubricants.

Our infrastructure
There are two main reasons that have made us a big name in the oil and petroleum products trading – first, our main storage facility in the port of Dar es Salaam which enables the storage of 76,000 cubic meters of oil, and secondly, our warehouse at the Kurasini terminal is equipped with all the high-tech machinery and equipment needed to process and deliver petroleum products Fast, reliable and efficient. We deal with thousands of metric tons of oil and petroleum products every year, which is a huge achievement in itself. The strategic location of the depot, close to the oil dock, enables efficient backloading of products to offshore tankers and shore-based refueling to other vessels in port.
We have two other warehouses on the mainland servicing the fuel needs of customers from western and central Tanzania, and in landlocked countries such as Rwanda, Burundi and eastern Congo. The warehouse in Kigoma on the shore of Lake Tanganyika has a capacity of 6000 m3. The second warehouse with a capacity of 6,500 cubic meters is located in Isaka, Shinyanga District.
