PATH (Global Health Organization)
About the Organization
Better health pushes humanity forward
At PATH, we are a global team of innovators working to accelerate health equity so all people and communities can thrive. We advise and partner with public institutions, corporations, grassroots groups and investors to solve the world’s most pressing health challenges.
PATH was a new type of health organization: a not-for-profit that brings industry-specific expertise, resources, and innovations to improving health for all.
Our model has changed the way the world thinks about health and development. We are still pioneers.
Today, we are harnessing the power of data and digital tools. Forging unexpected partnerships across borders and sectors. Defense against the threats of new diseases and epidemics. Create models to transform health care delivery. Fostering innovation in societies everywhere to make good health — and the jobs and economic stability that go with it — reach more people faster.
Achieving good health often depends on where we were born, our race, gender, ethnicity, age, caste, and other factors. The scope of our work is broad – because that’s what it takes to tackle health problems caused by complex systemic inequalities.
Good health opens doors to education and economic opportunity for individuals and families. It strengthens communities and helps markets grow. It is the foundation of a safer, just, and more prosperous world for all of us. It pushes humanity forward
Our team includes scientists, health professionals, business leaders, engineers, advocates, and experts from dozens of other disciplines. We work in more than 70 countries to turn bold ideas into sustainable solutions that improve the health and well-being of all.
PATH’s mission is to improve the health of people around the world by developing technologies, strengthening systems, and encouraging healthy behaviors. In service of this mission, PATH is committed to legal, responsible and ethical conduct in all of our activities. How we apply this standard is described in our Principles and Policies on Responsible Conduct and Our Commitment to Gender Equality.

Policies and Practices
PATH is responsible for the appropriate stewardship of our resources and the public and private support that enables us to pursue our mission. Over time, PATH has developed policies and practices designed to fulfill our obligations to those who expect us to conduct our affairs in accordance with the highest business ethics and in accordance with the letter and spirit of applicable law. Areas in which PATH has developed principles for responsible behavior include governance, workforce environment, ethical research conduct, collaboration with donors and partners, financial oversight, protection of intellectual property and confidential information, conflicts of interest, communications, advocacy, and the environment. .
PATH strives to ensure that these policies reflect our values, ethics and legal requirements and are understood and observed by each employee and member of the Board of Directors. To ensure these requirements are consistently supported, PATH makes the policies available to employees through the Regulatory Policy Portal on an internal website. We also require every employee to participate in professional conduct training. We understand that there are times when certain policies may not address all potential issues. In such cases, we strive to look directly at difficult conflicts and do the right thing.
personal responsibility
PATH expects our employees, directors, our affiliates and those with whom we work to act with the utmost integrity and in a manner consistent with the letter and spirit of all applicable laws and regulations. PATH expects each individual to do their best in good faith to know what is expected of them or their particular role and to act wisely. It is critical that individuals participate in training, seek guidance, be aware of policies and laws, and ask questions to ensure ethical behavior and to report compliance concerns with legal requirements or PATH policies.
Allegations and reporting mechanisms
PATH takes all allegations of policy violations seriously. PATH maintains a whistleblower policy to enable employees to easily report any suspected wrongdoing within the organization or with any parties we contract with. intend to make every reasonable effort to prevent or detect and correct inappropriate activities; encourage employees and others to report their concerns about violations of law or policy, questionable accounting matters, or other irregularities or unethical behavior; and protect individuals who provide such reports in good faith from retaliation.

The PATH Investigation Response Team is responsible for managing inquiries and investigations arising from allegations of misconduct. Final decisions and actions are made based on the available evidence, and the complainants are informed of the results of the high-level investigation, to the extent possible and appropriate, while maintaining standards of confidentiality.
PATH’s first priority in addressing alleged misconduct is the safety of complainants, witnesses, and program participants. Details of inquiries and investigations are confidential to ensure the privacy and safety of complainants, concerned employees and program participants and to protect against retaliation.
Beginning in 2021, the PATH Investigative Response Team provides a preliminary summary of the allegations and subsequent findings of policy violations and misconduct investigated in the previous year.
