Touchscreen is usually enabled on a Windows device out of the box. If not, enable it using Device Manager, located in the Control Panel. In this guide, we show you how to turn on the touch screen in Windows 10, Windows 8, and Windows 7, as well as how to force Windows to check the device for a touch screen, and how to update the touch screen driver.

3. Select Device Manager.
4. Select the arrow next to Human Interface Devices.
5. Select a HID-compliant touch screen.
6. Select Action at the top of the window.
7. Select Enable Device.
