Find Out What’s Trending on Facebook
Facebook offers users a trending section to keep up to date with the latest developments. If you consider yourself a news addict or just someone who loves to know what everyone is talking about these days, you might enjoy paying attention to the box labeled “Trends” on the right side of your News Feed.
Trending topics shows the headlines that people are talking about all over Facebook. So even if no one in your friend group has posted about the final episode of Game of Thrones, if there are enough people on Facebook talking about it, you’ll see a headline about it in the Trending box.
Clicking on any of the popular topics opens a Facebook page that collects articles being shared on any given topic, as well as related videos and photos, as well as some public posts about that topic.
Trending topics usually focus on popular culture or headlines. You can filter trending topics by different categories using the icons in the top right of the Trends box. By default, you see trending topics, indicated by an arrow that climbs to the top right. You can also choose from politics (town hall icon), science and technology (deck icon), sports (soccer icon), or entertainment (clapperboard icon).
