Samsung’s Galaxy A series is expected to move to the Ax3 product names in 2022. This has been evidenced by leaks pointing to the successors to the A12, A52 and A72 titles so far. On the other hand, it is also claimed to be far ahead in terms of specs, not to mention looks.
For example, a recent tip indicated that the Galaxy A53 will be launched in the much-unpredictable white, black, pale blue, and orange colors. Now, the blog that gave this confirmation also confirms that the Galaxy A13 will also appear in the exact same colors.
Accordingly, it may not be a big leap to assume that the same rumor also applies to other variants such as the A73. On the other hand, the A12 isn’t anywhere near consistent in terms of finish options in relation to the rest of its line, let alone style or level of specs.
Furthermore, this budget option is expected to have only 4G/LTE variants as well as 5G variants, while Samsung may turn around and drop the former in the A53. On the other hand, a phone that might be the A13 5G has been spotted with a still worthwhile Dimensity 700 SoC, and to have the ISOCELL GN1 50MP sensor as the main camera.
Therefore, this entry-level model may be truncated from the next generation of the “cool” formula that was made for the A52 and A72 models, even at the non-5G level. This may make sense, as more consumers may still be looking for the best deals even beyond 2021 in the past.
