They also place blame for their abusive deeds and point their finger at you even when you are not at fault.
This form of emotional abuse is harmful because it can cause anxiety, depression, trauma or low self-esteem. Excessive gaslighting may even trigger nervous breakdowns. It is an abusive form of practice that can cause an individual to distrust themselves or lead them to believe that they are suffering from a mental illness.
