The Amsons Group started in early 2006 as an importer of bulk oil and petroleum products under the Camel Oil Tanzania brand. Having started its fuel distribution and retail operations, it has now branched out and grown, not only market share of retail and fuel distribution outlets, but also diversified and reorganized into the following business segments:

Located in the capital city of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, the Amsons Group from the beginning has not only served the requirements of the local Tanzanian market but has become a strategic player in the distribution of fuels and petroleum products to customers in neighboring landlocked countries that depend on the port of Dar es Salaam because the supply is landlocked.
The group’s goals are to jointly promote and grow with the country’s vision of becoming a major player in the East African community. To this end, the group continues to search for new and innovative business ideas, while keeping the requirements of our clients as our top priority.
