Following the success of recent exploration and exploration, Apex International Energy manages several hydrocarbon fields in the Western Desert of Egypt through our PetroFarah joint venture. Apex development contracts are subject to a production sharing agreement with the Egyptian government. We continue to drill exploration wells outside of our development contracts. We are also actively pursuing acquisitions in Egypt and other countries in the Middle East and North Africa. Our acquisition targets include asset production, new development opportunities, exploration through licensing rounds, and direct awards from host governments or farms.
Apex is backed by equity investors: Bluewater, International Finance Corporation (IFC), IFC Middle East and North Africa Fund, LP. The two entities of the International Finance Corporation are part of the World Bank Group. They all have deep experience in the energy sector with experience in the MENA region
