Tanzania Football Federation (TFF)

TFF. History
The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF), formerly the Tanzania Football Association (FAT), is the governing body for football in Tanzania and oversees the national football teams of Tanzania. It was founded in 1930 and has been affiliated with FIFA since 1964.
The federation was established in 1930 as the Tanganyika Football Association (TFA). Its name was later changed to the Football Association of Tanzania (FAT) in 1971 after major amendments to its constitution.

FAT existed until 2004 when the new name TFF came into force after the General Assembly of the body held on December 27 of the same year.

The current TFF constitution came into force on January 15, 2006, after the General Assembly convened in Dar es Salaam on January 14 and 15, 2006.

Currently, Wallace Karia is the President of the Tanzanian Football Federation (TFF), succeeding Jamal Malinzi in August 2017.

TFF regions and blocks are becoming more empowered under his leadership as he believes they are the drivers of the development agenda.
