What a Soccer Field Looks Like

A soccer field (sometimes referred to as a “field”) is at least 100 yards long, 50 yards wide, and has a target centered at both ends. Inside the court there are markings including those for the penalty area and the spot, the center point for kick-offs, and of course the corners – without which corners would just be kicks.
The playing field is divided into two halves by the center line, which connects the middle of both contact lines. In the middle of this center line is the center mark which is generally referred to as the center point. It has a radius of 10 yards.
The field can be built from grass, or it can be made of man-made materials such as AstroTurf. The color of any synthetic surface should always be green.
