The Matrix results for the Class of 2022 will be published soon, and as always, it is likely that not everyone will be able to achieve it or get satisfactory results. This is where the matrix rewriting initiative known as the Second Chance Program comes into play and this is how you can progress.
Online Registration 2022/2023: Matric Rewrite
The Department of Basic Education’s Second Chance Matrix Program provides support for students who wish to rewrite course materials. It helps them meet the requirements for a National Senior Certificate (NSC) or Senior Certificate (SC) and obtain a Class 12 Secondary School Diploma.
In-person lessons are available at locations across the country, as well as online, television, and radio programs.
There are the following opportunities for rewriting:
- National Senior Certificate (NSC) Supplementary Examinations – March
- National Senior Certificate (NSC) students (students who wrote the National Security Council in the previous year but did not take all six subjects) – June
- Part-time NSC Candidates (students who took the NSC exams after 2015) – November
