The South African Post Office distributes grant payments to recipients of the R350 Social Distress Relief (SRD) grant from the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA).

Here are 350 grant pay days for the next week of March.

These days will only apply to beneficiaries whose identity document number contains the last three digits listed below:

  • April 18: No payment
  • April 19: 082 and 087
  • April 20: 083 and 088
  • April 21: 084 and 089
  • April 22: 080 and 085
  • No payments will be made on Monday, April 18 as the country celebrates Family Day.

Recipients should note that there are no grant payments at the Post Office on weekends. Sassa also does not process an R350 grant on days other SASSA grants are paid.

The Post Office has reminded recipients to collect their grant payments only once they receive an SMS from Sassa, stating that the grant is available.

There is no set date for SRD grant payments made to the recipients’ bank accounts. Beneficiaries can withdraw their money from the ATM at any time or place that suits them. Sasa says that recipients who use their bank accounts to make grant payments can see their money being processed faster.

SASA has provided special Covid-19 R350 SRD grants in 2020 to provide financial assistance to unemployed individuals who have not been able to make ends meet and their families, due to the challenges created by the Covid-19 pandemic.
